Greek festivals |
Question: |
What are the famous places in greece and what are seasons and festivals? |
Answer: |
 |
| Ok let's have a look at Greek festivals first and believe me there are many. We can seperate them in two categories, religious and national.
Religious festivals are the following: January 1st New Year's Day, January 6: the Epiphany, January 8: the Yinekokratia, January 31- February 22: The Carnivals, March 25: Feast of Annunciation, Easter, whose dates differ, April 23: the Feast of Agios Georgios (St George), May/June: the Day of the Aghio Pneuma (Holy Spirit), August 15: Day of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, December 25: Christmas. National festivals are: March 25: Greek Independence Day, May 1: Labor Day, October 28: National Anniversary, November 17.
I would say that the most famous place in Greece is the Acropolis. |
