How do most Greeks spend their free time? |

I believe that as it happens in other countries, different people choose to spend their free time in different ways. However, it is true that most Greeks watch a lot of television when at home. Men watch a lot of football. The last few years there is an increasing number of people who surf in the internet regularly.
Many people either in home or in cafes read newspapers and magazines. Women and some men have to take care of the daily home chores and take care of the kids. (When there are small children in the family usually there is no much free time left).
Friends and families exchange visits to each other's houses. Younger people go to cafes,clubs and bars. Around the age of 35+ they usually go out for dinner or to listen to live music. Most Greeks during summer months go swimming in weekends and enjoy their holidays in places near the sea. |
